Students play an important role in the learning journey as they partner with faculty in choosing what they read, ensuring the right book is in the right student’s hands at the right time in regard to both appropriate challenge and engaging interest.

To learn to write well students must write often, receive feedback, edit, and repeat. We provide students with abundant opportunities to engage in this write, review, and repeat process, ensuring prodigious writing practice and guidance each step of the way. By inspiring the love of reading and instilling the power of the pen, our students emerge embracing how stories shape us and how they can use words to shape society for the benefit of others.
